Who is responsible?

Janterum Ltd (“Janterum”, “we”, “us”) is a company registered in England and Wales (number 17535262). Registered office: 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. We act as the controller for our own business enquiries and correspondence.

For privacy enquiries or requests, contact contact@janterum.com. Please do not send confidential or sensitive information in an initial enquiry unless we have agreed an appropriate channel.

What we receive

When you email us, we may process your name, business contact details, organisation, role, the content of your message, and subsequent correspondence. If we discuss or enter an engagement, we may also process proposals, contracts, billing and professional records. Our website currently provides a link to an email address, rather than an online enquiry form.

Our website hosting provider may process limited technical information such as IP addresses, device/browser data and request details to deliver the site, diagnose faults and protect the service.

Why we process information

• To respond to enquiries, assess requests and maintain relevant professional relationships. Our usual basis is legitimate interests in conducting our advisory business, balanced against your rights.
• To take steps at your request towards a contract or perform a contract with you, where the contract is with you as an individual.
• To meet accounting, tax, company-law and other legal obligations where applicable.
• To operate and secure our website and business systems, based on legitimate interests in reliability and security.

Where we process personal information on a client's behalf, the roles and instructions will be addressed in the relevant engagement and, where needed, a data-processing agreement.

Who may receive information?

We use service providers to operate our website and communications, including Vercel for website hosting and Microsoft 365 for business email and document services. Information may also be shared with professional advisers where necessary, or where disclosure is required by law. We do not sell your personal information.

International processing

Some service providers may process or permit access to information outside the UK. Where UK data protection law applies, transfers must be supported by an appropriate legal mechanism, such as adequacy regulations or recognised contractual safeguards. You can contact us for information about applicable arrangements.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and business correspondence only as long as reasonably needed for the original purpose, a continuing professional relationship, or possible legal claims, with periodic review. Contractual, accounting and statutory records are retained for the periods required by law or reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights. We remove or anonymise information when it is no longer needed.

Your rights

Depending on your circumstances, you may ask to access or correct your personal information, request deletion or restriction, object to certain processing, or request portability. Contact contact@janterum.com and we will respond in accordance with applicable law. You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Cookies and similar technologies

We have designed this brochure website without advertising trackers, optional analytics, an embedded contact form, or a marketing-cookie banner. Site fonts are served through our website rather than loaded by your browser from Google. Hosting and security infrastructure may process technical request data and, if needed, use strictly necessary technologies to provide and protect the service.

If we introduce non-essential analytics, embedded third-party services or other technologies requiring consent, we will update this notice and obtain consent before enabling them. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.
